"O God, we have heard with our ears, our fathers have told us, what deeds You performed in their days, in the days of old: You with Your own hand drove out the nations, but them You planted; You afflicted the peoples, but them You set free; for not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm save them, but Your right hand and Your arm, and the light of Your face, for You delighted in them.
In this Psalm, as with many psalms, praise and glory is directed to the LORD for His provision, His protection and His power. The psalm begins with the admission that the great works of God on behalf of His chosen people have not been forgotten but passed down through generations. This prompts the question, who have you told about what God has done for you? There was no doubt about where the victories came from. The nation was not saved by their own arm, but by the mighty arm of God and by His right hand, through the light of His countenance. Why? because He loved them (Psalm 44:3).
Because of the testimonies of the victories God had given to their ancestors, the children were able to confidently proclaim, “Through You we push down our foes; through Your name we tread down those who rise up against us” (Psalm 44:5).
If all people knew about God was what you shared with them, what would they know? “Great things He hath taught us, Great things He hath done, and great [should be] our rejoicing through Jesus the Son…” —Fanny Crosby. Share with someone today what God has done for you.
Share with us what God has done for you recently. Then, go share that with someone else!

Introducing Come and Gather: Family Time with God, or what we lovingly refer to as Gather.
Gather is a lovely, 35-page, daily devotional centered around families enjoying time together with God and each other. This 27-day devotional is divided into 3 parts:
Part One: Days 1-5, is written specifically with husbands and wives in mind. In this part of Gather, husbands and wives will explore 5 Signs of a Functional Family.
5 Signs of a Functional Family includes:
Part Two: Days 6-20, is written with the whole family in mind. It's A Walk Through God’s Word. From Genesis to Revelation we will discuss subjects like God's mercy and protection, being humble, dealing with difficulties, having a teachable spirit, dependence on God, and much more. Part Three: Days 21-27, is a Men of God Character Study. We'll learn character traits that every Christian should strive to demonstrate in their life straight from characters in God's Word. At the end of Gather, you'll find a place for your family to record specific prayer requests. I love being specific with my prayer request and seeing God answer in specific ways. Recording the answers, as well as the requests, is a great way to help your children see God working in your lives.
