​Among these prophetic verses, Psalm 22 stands out to me as a testament to the divine foresight encapsulated in the Scriptures. Penned by David, long before the advent of crucifixion, its verses paint a hauntingly vivid picture of the suffering and redemption that would unfold on the cross of Calvary.

The last two months have taken us through the first six evidences of genuine faith found in 1 John. This book continues to be a challenge to me in my faith, yet, at the same time, I find the evidence of genuine faith that John shares comforting to my heart in an age that is filled with so much uncertainty.

Remember the theme verse of the book is 1 John 5:13. John exhorts us that there is certainty in faith – “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

​Maybe there are doubts in your mind today about your salvation. Friend, may I encourage you to search the Scriptures to see what Jesus has already done for you and then to ask the Lord to search your heart and to provide you with that certainty today. ​
