I want you to meet the team
We have an entire team of girls behind the scenes here at InstaEncouragements and they have experience in a little bit of everything life can throw your way—from being a wife, mom, teacher, youth ministry worker, homeschool mom, women’s ministry leader, author, speaker, to adoption, artist, grief-survivor, church planter, pastor’s wife, Sunday school teacher, administrative assistant, and much more. They are EVERYTHING! You can read a post from one of them each Friday over on the blog.
Amanda grew up in a ministry home in the Midwest. She was saved at age five and loved learning to serve the Lord alongside her parents and two sisters throughout her childhood and adolescence. While her family hosted many missionaries in their home throughout the years, Amanda developed a real love for these special people. At fourteen, she surrendered to serve the Lord on the foreign mission field. She spent many summers traveling to serve with missionaries as she sought the Lord’s direction for her life.
In the midst of her university training to teach high school English, her dad moved their family to Virginia Beach to minister at Tabernacle Baptist Church Ministries as the senior pastor. Amanda moved there shortly after graduation and taught in the Christian school for nine years. She completed a Master’s degree in Biblical counseling at TBCM before the Lord made it clear that it was time for her to go to England as a single missionary.
Survey trips, deputation, moving internationally, lawfully driving on the “wrong” side of the road, and learning to "tour guide" in London are all checked off her bucket list. Amanda has served alongside church planters in England since her arrival in May 2017. She is currently ministering alongside Joshua and Melissa Booth to plant a new church in Boston, England. She loves working with the English classes, ladies, children, and especially the teens in their church as well as reaching out to people in the community to build redemptive relationships with them. Writing about what the Lord is teaching her is just another way she enjoys ministering to people.

A Georgia native, Elisabeth was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and hear God’s truth from an early age. After high school, she attended Bible college in upstate Wisconsin where she earned a degree in secondary education. Her time there was a significant season of growth in the Lord as she was challenged to dig deeper into the Scriptures and put her faith into practice through service. After returning to Georgia, she taught various subjects in Christian high schools and coached girls’ volleyball for seven years. She spent four more years teaching at the preschool level. In 2011 she met her husband, Tyler at church, where they were married one year later. After struggling with infertility, the Lord led them to adopt, and in 2018, they were blessed with a daughter, Emersyn.
As of 2023, her family has temporarily relocated to Hawaii for Tyler’s job and are grateful to be serving at City Church in Honolulu. Elisabeth is a homeschooling mother and an avid runner, She is also a lover of music and is thankful to serve in her church’s
worship ministry.

Julie lives in the Atlanta area and has a passion for knowing God and understanding His Word. She is thankful for her husband, Dan, whom God has used greatly to grow her in the area of Christlikeness. They have three married children and five grandchildren whom they thoroughly enjoy! Early on, God gave Julie a heart for ministering to ladies. She currently teaches a ladies’ Sunday school class at her church and serves as a Georgia Area Ambassador for Revive Our Hearts ministry. In her spare time, Julie loves to be outdoors hiking, taking pictures, sitting on her screen porch, and praising God for His beautiful creation.
Cami grew up in the Allegheny Mountains of northern Pennsylvania. After braving the blustery winters of Wisconsin for four years of Bible college, she settled down in the sunny state of Georgia, where she met and married her husband, Daniel. Together they attend Bible Baptist Church in Hampton, Georgia.
Cami loves stories. She spent most of her childhood summers curled up under a shade tree or in a cozy armchair reading mystery, fantasy, and historical novels. Her love for storytelling inspired her love for writing. She enjoys writing fictional stories as well as sharing what God is teaching her in her own day-to-day life experiences.
Growing up as a pastor’s daughter, Cami asked God to save her at the age of four. Since she has been involved in Christian ministry for as long as she can remember, she sometimes struggles to keep her relationship with God and her service in her local church personal, rather than routine. She would love to share with you how God is teaching her to love her husband the way she should, serve in her church with love rather than duty, and develop a burden for reaching souls with the gospel of Christ.

Christine was born and raised in the Sunshine State. She loves sand between her toes and the sound of seagulls. She also loves encouraging, sharing a smile, and siding with the underdog. Saved at the age of four, Christine has been blessed to be God’s child through every stage of life. Even when her self-will and foolish independence led her from Him, His reckless love was in pursuit. His faithfulness is her daily comfort, and His glory her highest goal.
In college, Christine met her prince charming. All 6’2” of him. At 4’11” their statures describe their relationship. They are opposites in every way, but couldn’t complement each other better. They have the privilege of raising a crew that includes seven daughters and four sons. Christine and her husband have spent 25 years ministering to youth in the church and Christian school environment. Her desire to share the messiness and humility of motherhood, marriage, and ministry is where her love for writing began.

Kathy, a Northern Virginia native, moved to Utah with her husband in 2015 to help with church planting. A few months after the big cross country move, their first child was born. Joy immediately turned to fear as their son Jack was whisked away to the NICU where he lived for 2 weeks before going to the arms of Jesus. To help process this immense grief, Kathy turned to hand lettering Bible verses and water coloring truths from Scripture.
The Bible has changed her life so dramatically over the years that she wanted a way to send Bibles to those who wouldn’t normally be able to access any. That’s how her shop Redeeming Goods came to be. Kathy creates beautiful, modern verse art that makes God’s Word accessible & memorable. Plus for every print sold a Bible is sent to a Christian in a restricted nation.
