Sometimes I feel like Moses leading a bunch of cranky, old Israelites through the wilderness. Except I'm not Moses at all. I am the cranky, old Israelites!
Did you ever notice that God gives you just a little glimpse of the journey, and not the whole viral video? Sometimes only enough light on the path you're walking to see the next step, and sometimes not even that much. Sometimes the next step is a pure step of faith in the darkness.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19
Well that's exactly how this blog has evolved-- a pure step of faith in the darkness. You might even call it a LEAP of faith in the darkness! And I don't even know where to begin with the whole story of how we got here except to say, "One step at a time. One tiny, little step of faith at a time."
Maybe sometimes knowing the future and seeing the whole, big picture would not be a good thing. I'm sure some of us, including myself, would turn and run in the opposite direction if we saw what God had planned for us. I'm sure He knows that and that's why it's a one-step-at-a-time kind of process.
Friend, if you are in a transition period in your life, if you long to see the future and know the way your journey leads and just how your story will be written, trust the process! Trust the Savior. Trust His tried and true one-step-at-a-time process. Trust His faithfulness. Rest in His goodness.
Enjoy the journey and care less about the destination!
What I've discovered over the past three years is that the Bible is the one book that can make me, More Like Him and Less Like Me.
I like how creative you can be when you physically write things down. There is plenty of room in this planner for creativity!
The planner is larger than I expected, and I like that! I'm sure the dimensions are in the description that I didn't read. I just looked at the pictures and thought it was much smaller. So, I was pleasantly surprised to find it a full-size sheet of paper size with LOTS of room for creativity! I like that the inside, with its year-at-a-glance, month-at-a-glance, and week-at-a-glance calendars, has room for me to write what I need to write. It also has room to embellish it with some super cute stickers of my choosing! And believe me, even though 2019 is still months away, I've already began to embellish! Me and stickers are thick as thieves. LOL
There's even an Academic Planner and a Teacher Planner!
I looked for months at planners before choosing this one. I even polled my Facebook friends asking them what planner systems they use. I received a multitude of different answers and one of the best pieces of advice was this from an old high school classmate, "If you are not already a planner user I would start with something simple and inexpensive... Just my two cents." I thought that was great advice, especially since some of the planners friends suggested I try were $60 - $80. CRAZY!
Many of the planners I looked at were just too, too complicated. This one is perfect! The outside is gorgeous and the inside is simple and clean-- a nice balance.
This Pretty Simple Planner meets ALL my needs. Well... it won't cook dinner or clean my house, but as far as planners go it meets those needs. You can't go wrong here!
We have a show coming up next month and I for one am SO EXCITED! This will be our first, physical show. The three prints below are a few of the new prints we will be offering that weekend. These are not online at this time, and will only be available at the physical show.
Just a friendly reminder, our little Etsys shop will be on vacation mode beginning Friday, September 28, for a couple weeks. Part vacation. Part workcation. We have some exciting things coming in 2019 and can’t wait to share it all with you! But first, we need a little time to work on the details. The shop should be back up and running with an updated inventory the week of October 15.
We say all that to say this: If you’ve thought about taking advantage of the SAVE50 50% off code, DO IT SOON! Time is running out. All good things must come to an end, or at least that’s what they say. Some good things are just beginning <—— and that’s what we say!
UPDATE: Since the original posting we have added links to our Etsy shop for the above 12x12 prints. We've also added the 12x12 print below, which was the conference theme, to the shop.
And check out this post Two More Showstoppers: Mercy & SoulScripts for two additional 12x12 prints featured at the show and now in our Etsy shop.
