Ok, I’ll freely admit it — I’m one of those people who put their Christmas tree up at the beginning of November. I wasn’t always like this. I used to abide by hard and fast rules of no dabbling in anything Christmas until after Thanksgiving. No worries, I still wholly embrace and celebrate the season of Thanksgiving. I just do it with a Christmas tree in the corner of my living room. 
 
My desire to decorate earlier than most and even listen to a carol or two (okay, more like ten) has nothing to do with what our secular society would say makes the Christmas season special. Sure, I love the fun activities and general merriment of Christmas, but that’s not at all why I’ve decided to elongate my celebration of the season.
