I'm Just Like a Cranky Old Bunch of Israelites

Sometimes I feel like Moses leading a bunch of cranky, old Israelites through the wilderness. Except I'm not Moses at all. I am the cranky, old Israelites!

Did you ever notice that God gives you just a little glimpse of the journey and not the whole viral video? Sometimes only enough light on the path you're walking to see the next step, and sometimes not even that much.

​The next step may be just a pure leap of faith in the darkness!​

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 

​Well that's exactly how this blog has evolved— a pure leap of faith in the darkness. ​

​I don't even know where to begin with the whole story of how we got here except to say, one tiny step at a time. One leap of faith at a time. ​

Maybe sometimes knowing the future and seeing the whole, big picture would not be a good thing. I'm sure some of us, including myself, would turn and run in the opposite direction if we saw what God had planned for us. I'm sure He knows that and that's why much of our life is a one-step-at-a-time kind of process. 

Friend, if you are in a transition period in your life, if you long to see the future and know the way your journey leads and just how your story will be written, trust the process! Trust the Savior. 

​Trust His tried and true one-step-at-a-time process. Trust His faithfulness. Rest in His goodness. ​Enjoy the journey and care less about the destination!

​What I've discovered over the past three years is that the Bible is the one book that can make me, More Like Him and Less Like Me.
