I love this passage in Jeremiah 18 about the potter and the clay, but it wasn't until recently that this portion of the passage finally sunk in.
"...And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter's hand...."
In the Potter's Hand
The vessel was in the potter's hand when it was spoiled. In the creator's hand. In the maker's hand.
You Christian! YOU are in the Potter's hand, but that doesn't mean that everything that happens in your life is going to be ideal. Sometimes, it's not. Sometimes the unexpected happens. The unprepared for happens. But it is uniquely yours to own. For your good and His glory. Your story to share. And as you share, as you grow and you help others grow, your story will mean more tomorrow than it does today. Read more about The Voice of The Potter here. Another Post from the Book of Jeremiah
Hope is a word we like to hold on to tightly. I hope this happens. I hope that doesn't happen. But what if you had been held captive for 70 years, your homeland had been destroyed and your relatives murdered? What if God not only allowed this, but He planned it? Could you still hold on to hope?
The Plans He Has For You Include a Future and HOPE is a great little post from Jeremiah 29, about holding on to hope in the face of adversity. It's about trusting God when all hope seems lost. It's about trusting God when you don't understand, and trusting His heart when you can't see His hand.
What story do you have to tell today? What has God prepared you for? Your story matters!
