"Life, like this pot, comes to be in places of tension." —a modern-day potter

Who here hasn't had to deal with tension in their life? Who hasn't been formed by it just as a potter forms a beautiful pot? The potter forms his pot with the tension of his hands, both from the inside of the pot and from the outside.

​It's these times of tension that shape us. God uses them to shape, form, and make us into a beautiful vessel for His glory.

​Tension is a state of being stretched. Today you may be in that place of tension. You may feel you're being stretched to your absolute limit. The pressures of life bearing down from the outside AND the inside, all at the same time. Hold on! Your story is being written.

This is only a chapter, not the whole novel. And Your Story Will Mean More to You Tomorrow than it does today.

​You may think, "I didn't choose this life." These things that form our very being, they are not chosen by us, but for us. Preordained, according to His plan, to create in us what only they can create.

​​Sadness, death, misfortune, these things are tools in the Master Potter's hands to make us a useful vessel for Him, for His service, for His glory, and for our good.

​The voice of the Potter is speaking to us today. We hear Him through His Word. We hear Him when we are silent, and when we are still. ​

That's the way my life has been. Sadness and death and misfortune and the love of friends and all the things that happened to me that I didn't even choose. All of that influenced my life. But, there are things I believe in about myself, my faith in God and the love of some friends that worked on the inside of me.
