From Red Sea to Jordan River: Our Journey Continues

As summer approaches, we are thrilled to announce the transition from our 2019 Book Club-Style Bible Study featuring Robert J. Morgan's "The Red Sea Rules: 10 God-Given Strategies for Difficult Times" to this summer's study of his sequel, "The Jordan River Rules: 10 God-Given Strategies for Moving Forward." This new journey begins on June 4, 2024, and we couldn't be more excited to embark on this spiritual adventure with you.​

Reflecting on the Red Sea Rules

In 2019, we gathered around "The Red Sea Rules," a book that offered profound insights into navigating life's difficult times. Morgan's ten strategies, drawn from the Israelites' experience at the Red Sea, provided us with practical and spiritual tools to face our challenges with faith and resilience.

​We learned to:

1. Realize that God means for you to be where you are.
2. Be more concerned for God’s glory than for your relief.
3. Acknowledge your enemy, but keep your eyes on the Lord.
4. Pray!
5. Stay calm and confident, and give God time to work.
6. When unsure, just take the next logical step by faith.
7. Envision God’s enveloping presence.
8. Trust God to deliver in His own unique way.
9. View your current crisis as a faith builder for the future.
10. Don’t forget to praise Him.

These strategies helped us see God's hand in our struggles, reminding us that He is always in control, even when our circumstances seem insurmountable.

Stepping Into the Jordan River Rules

Now, as we prepare for our 2024 Summer Book Club-Style Bible Study, we turn our focus to "The Jordan River Rules." This sequel takes us from merely surviving difficulties to actively moving forward in God's plan. Just as the Israelites transitioned from the wandering in the wilderness to crossing the Jordan River into the Promised Land, we too are called to move forward in faith.

In "The Jordan River Rules," Robert J. Morgan outlines ten new strategies to help us navigate our next steps with confidence and trust in God's promises.

These strategies will guide us in:

1. Realizing that God has a plan for the next phase of your life.
2. Staying focused on God's promises, not your problems.
3. Stepping into the water of new beginnings.
4. Building faith through remembrance.
5. Following God's lead even when the path is unclear.
6. Trusting God's timing for every step.
7. Resting in God's provision for your needs.
8. Seeking God's presence in every circumstance.
9. Moving forward with courage and strength.
10. Praising God for His faithfulness in every victory.

Beginning Tuesday mornings at 9:00 am est, June 4, 2024, we invite you to join us for a 10-week exploration of "The Jordan River Rules." Each week, we will dive into a new strategy, discussing its application to our lives and sharing insights within our community. Together, we will discover how to step confidently into the future God has prepared for us.
