Uninvited: Living Loved When You Feel Less Than Left Out and LonelyThis may seem like an odd Christmas gift, but I LOVE a good book—and this one is good! It's one of the best books I've read in 2019 and I'll bet if you look around you'll see someone on your Christmas list that really needs Lysa's message of hope. The enemy wants us to feel rejected . . . left out, lonely, and less than. In Uninvited, Lysa shares her own deeply personal experiences of rejection—from the perceived judgment of the perfectly toned woman one elliptical over to the incredibly painful childhood abandonment by her father. She leans in to honestly examine the roots of rejection, as well as rejection's ability to poison relationships from the inside out, including our relationship with God.
You Can Trust God to Write Your Story: Embracing the Mysteries of ProvidenceYou've got someone on your list that needs to be reminded this Christmas that God is the master Storyteller! You know who they are. They need this book! They need to read the stories of the DeMoss' and the stories of people from God's Word that lived through life-altering challenges, but, in the end, found God to be faithful. What's God doing in your story? Our kids beg us for stories at bedtime or while we drive; we gather around fire pits and dinner tables to tell and retell our favorite tales—the more dramatic the better. But when it comes to our actual lives, we prefer something less sensational, even boring—sunny skies and smooth sailing, please and thank you. We want our own stories to be predictable, safe, controllable, and catastrophe-free.
Two Online Shops We LOVE for Beautifully Unique & Original Christian ArtworkScripture ArtI love having Scripture Art hanging on the walls of our home—especially in my kid's rooms. The power of putting Scripture on the walls of your home is that anyone who visits has the opportunity to read the Living Word of God, including your kid's friends. BONUS! And these are so lovely and affordable. You can hang them as posters or frame them. Either way, you are turning the focus of the room to God's Word, and that never returns void! "For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Hebrews 4:12 No Little Women: Equipping All Women in the Household of God by Aimee Byrd

The Prodigal God: Recovering the Heart of the Christian Faith by Tim KellerThis book is for that coworker or relative on your list who just simply doesn't believe like you believe. You love them enough to put a book like this in their hands on Christmas morning and say, "Please, read this friend—it's important!"
Gathered & Sown
The Dwell JournalI absolutely LOVE The Dwell Journal! It's a great Bible study for your personal study or for a group study—a fantastic way to begin the year in the Word. "Studying the Bible doesn't have to be hard. If you're not sure where to start, or are struggling with being consistent in God's Word, try this 12-week guided Bible study journal to help you get on a fulfilling and exciting path in your quiet time with the Lord. Through dwelling on God's word, you'll be rooted and established in Christ. Each week focuses on a different topic; areas that will convict you and encourage you to apply what you have learned as the Holy Spirit lives and moves through you to accomplish His work.
Scripture TypeThoughtfully crafted Scripture resources and goods for the treasuring of God's Word. You know we at InstaEncouragements are all about incorporating Scripture in your home. It's important! You're going to LOVE Scripture Type, friend, I promise! The company is centered around Deuteronomy 6:4-9 which says: "Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is One! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." Deuteronomy 6:4-9 They even offer FREE Scripture memory resources!!! Scripture Type was founded on a desire to memorize God's Word. Head on over to their site here and enjoy their collection of free wallpapers and locks screens to aid in your own meditation and memorization of Scripture. The Moon Is Always RoundEven young children want answers to the hard questions about God and suffering. In The Moon Is Always Round, seminary professor and author Jonathan Gibson uses the vivid imagery of the moon to explain to children how God’s goodness is always present, even when it might appear to be obscured by upsetting or difficult circumstances.

Thanks, Michele! Thanks for pinning. Yes, I love Bible & Breakfast too. Don't tell my mama, but that's what she's getting for Christmas. (I know, we're not suppose to be buying gifts this Christmas, right? LOL—but it's my mama!) Bible & Breakfast is such a unique concept. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it.

That is so exciting to have a huge family photo planned! We tried to do that for my mom a year or so ago and it just POURED like crazy on the day we had all set aside. I am hoping you get beautiful weather and make some wonderful memories as well as getting to enjoy some beautiful photos.

Hey, Mother of 3, I'm a mother of 4—which is not much different than being a mother of 3—just a little more chaos and clutter. LOL I am really looking forward to the family photo thing. I think it will be money well spent. Memories for a lifetime. Plus, there are a few of us that need professional headshots, and she's going to take care of that as well. Praying for perfect weather <— thanks for that reminder.

Thanks, Laurie! The FP Little People Nativity set is one of my favorites. I love the prayer journal too. I see many more answers to my prayers when I journal them—not that many more are answered because of journaling. Journaling just helps me see the answers. :)
