This Bible-based resource will guide you to a place of hope and healing!
But what happens when "rooted and built up" feels more like broken and messy? What about the seasons that don't seem so "established in the faith" and when "abounding in thanksgiving" is impossible in our own strength?
In those broken and messy times and the seasons that don't make sense, when it's difficult to be thankful, Rebecca reminds us in her new book, Healing Devotional for Women, that we can find hope and healing through God's love and compassion.
Rebecca's new book addresses a wide range of subjects that many of us struggle with including difficult relationships, excessive worry, and overcoming past hurts and disappointments.
Every devotion ends with either:
Each of these help us to meditate on the truths of God's Word and provide a path through Scripture to take us on a personal journey towards hope and healing. Journey with Rebecca and her new book in the moments that fit your schedule—your timetable. There's no timeline here. Take as long as you need and come back tomorrow for more.
The book is divided into two parts. Part One is all about turning to God and I love that! That's where it all begins, right? That's where we become rooted and built up, established in the faith, and learn to abound in thanksgiving once again. Part Two is where we begin to heal. Part One: Turn to God (15 days)
You're going to find God waiting for you here, friend, and you will also find encouragement to be faithful in the hard places. When your feelings spiral out of control, you'll be reminded to go directly to God, first! You'll learn how to shift your focus from the temporal to the eternal, being reminded of the things that really matter. When waiting seems difficult, you'll be reminded that YOU don't need to have a plan. God has a plan, and He is working on your behalf, even when you don't see it or feel it!
Rebecca moves us from Part One into Part Two with this "Let's Put it Into Practice": "Tell Jesus the whole truth today. Look in His eyes, and tell Him why you're here and the healing you long for in Him. Today is the day to reach out to your Savior." Part Two: Start to Heal (45 days)
When it seems as if no one is listening, God is! When it seems as if no one understands, God does! You'll be reminded in this part that it won't always be this way. This season of life is a chapter—it's not your whole story. You'll find that you CAN do hard things, with God's help, and when you come to the end of this devotional, you will not be the same girl.
YES! You can do this! You can forgive. You can find joy again. You can find hope. You can heal. In Christ, you have what it takes to walk this journey. He'll be there with you in the waiting times. God makes a way to hope and healing and it's through His steadfast love and unequaled compassion! 60 devotionals to help you heal and then Rebecca ends her book with a page of resources for your healing journey—websites and other books that you will find helpful. When I think of words to describe Rebecca's new book I think of words like healing (of course), inspiration, strength, peace, hope, love, compassion, wisdom, joy, guidance, restoration, encouragement. It's a balm for the weary soul! I love that Rebecca ends her book with this lovely reminder from Deuteronomy: "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
It's a beautiful promise, friend—"...He will not leave you or forsake you." Remember that today!
