10 Things I Love About Adoring His Attributes
A Peek Inside This Lovely Prayer Devotional
There are prints (like the one pictured above) inside this lovely book that are frame-worthy! I hope Dani will sell them as prints someday. That would be awesome, and I would be first in line to purchase one. The centerfold is absolutely gorgeous, but I'm not going to spoil it for you here. You'll need to buy the book to see it. The verse she uses there is Isaiah 43:11:
"I am the LORD, besides me, there is no Savior."
Each day is appropriately numbered and begins with a brand new, exciting attribute, like "He is our Redeemer" (Day 19). There's a key verse for each attribute and a meaningful devotional. Then, Dani encourages you to mediate on a few passages of relevant Scripture and pray. Prayer is a big part of this devotional experience. You'll find ample space each day for recording your praise, thanksgiving and petitions. As you do, you will personalize your copy of Adoring His Attributes and it will become even more precious. This will be one of the books on our "Best Books of 2019" list. Coming soon!
"When we rely upon organization, we get what organization can do; when we rely upon education, we get what education can do; when we rely upon eloquence, we get what eloquence can do. And so on. But when we rely upon prayer, we get what God can do." —A.C. Dixon Attributes of God You Will Meditate On
God is our Creator and Sustainer. He is Immutable, Infinite, Eternal, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Wise. He, as our King, is Holy, Righteous, and Just. In Him Truth is found. God is Sovereign over all and our Refuge in a time of need. As our Savior, He has also become our Provider, Healer, and Redeemer from the ravages of sin, death and hell. He is the Peacemaker for our chaotic souls and the Perfecter of our faith. God is all-Sufficient and Merciful. He is love, and as love you will find Him to be Patient, Faithful, Compassionate, Gracious, Good, and Trustworthy.
Renew Your Enthusiasm for Proclaiming His Glory!
God created and designed us uniquely to praise and worship Him, and Him alone. His redemptive work, on our behalf, at the cross of Calvary showcases how worthy He is of our praise and worship. Getting to know God through His Word, the Bible, gives us joy and peace like nothing else can do. You may be in a place today, friend, where you are searching for that joy and peace. It's in the Word! It's waiting for you there, and you will discover it through this prayer devotional as you learn of Him and His character through His many attributes.
Adoring His Attributes will deepen your perspective of God and free you from the false teachings of this world. Understanding His flawless character will also strengthen your faith by encouraging a deeper reliance on Him. With newfound knowledge of His heart, your own heart will be prompted to pursue His will and please Him in your daily walk. You will see the beautiful Gospel that redeems us and how it also reflects every aspect of His character. You will find it present in every attribute you meditate on. The reminders of our loving God you find in Adoring His Attributes will inspire worshipful praise like you haven't experience before, and will give you a renewed enthusiasm for proclaiming His glory!
My Takeaway From the Book and How You Can Win a Copy
Each attribute you study about God will provide a lens with which to behold His glory. Hold fast to His attributes in your heart so that you can recall them in the unpredictable times. Keep entering His presence daily showering Him with praise and worship. Look to Him for guidance and preach His amazing Gospel to yourself and those you cross paths with. In your waiting times, remember His goodness. Look forward to heaven when we will worship together, in person, this very God who loves and redeems us.

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, Let's Begin the New Year With 30 Days of Prayer and Devotions
I love that Dani begins the introduction into her prayer devotional with Psalm 46:10! This verse is the theme behind my own book, The Heart That Heals. During the 30 days of intentional prayer and devotions you will explore the wondrous, life-changing depths of God—one attribute, one devotional, and one prayer at a time. It's a month-long prayer journey that will only touch the surface of His transcendent nature, but even so, it will heighten your knowledge of His supremacy.
I love that God's Word is always relevant. It was relevant 2000 years ago, it is relevant today, and it will still be relevant long after we are gone. That's another thing I love about Adoring His Attributes—it's relevant! Ten years from now it will still be just as relevant.
Hebrews 13:8 says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Just as He is the same, so is His Word and so are His attributes. With that being said, this is a book that will be a blessing to you (or to whomever you gift it to) for years to come. It's a study I could do over and over again and see fresh, new truths every time.
I hope I see any entire Facebook group (community) built around this, and I'd also love to see it made into a series of 30 daily devotional emails that you can opt-in to. There's just so much potential here for spreading knowledge about God and His attributes, and I find that so exciting! Adoring His Attributes: A 30 Day Devotional for Worshipful Prayer

This sounds like a wonderful way to "behold Him" (II Corinthians 3:18).

I love studying the attributes of God. I want to grow in grace and knowledge of Him and this is one way to do it. Plus, when I have a problem, knowing His attributes directs me in the way I can pray.

Jerralea, I like how you say, "Plus, when I have a problem, knowing His attributes directs me in the way I can pray." That's the whole premise behind knowing God. I get to know Him now, so that when I have a problem I know where to go. I know Who to trust and Who to ask for help. I know how to pray <— just as you said. Well said!

"I am guilty of jumping right in with requests, but I would never do that in conversation with a friend!" <— That is a great analogy, Laurie!

Studying the attributes of God always encourages me to ask the question: Since God is _______, how should I, therefore, be?"

This sounds like a wonderful book. Sometimes we overlook certain attributes of God so it's good to occasionally step back and look at them again one by one.
