"Let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted; His majesty is above earth and heaven." Psalm 148:13
In Old Testament times, names were given not only as identification, but many times a special meaning was attached to the name. All throughout Scripture God reveals Himself to us through His many names. When we study these names that He reveals, we better understand who God is. The meanings behind His names reveal the character and nature of the One who bears them.
Who is God to you? Is He your Most High God, All sufficient One, Master, Lord of Peace, Lord Who Will Provide? Is He your Father, you Jehovah Raah, the Lord your Shepherd?

EL SHADDAI el shad-di'
All-Sufficient One, Lord God Almighty
Use: In the Old Testament El Shaddai occurs 7 times. El Shaddai is first used in Genesis 17:1.
Meaning: El is another name that is translated as "God" and can be used in conjunction with other words to designate various aspects of God's character. Another word much like Shaddai, and from which many believe it derived, is shad meaning "breast" in Hebrew (some other scholars believe that the name is derived from an Akkadian word Šadu, meaning "mountain," suggesting strength and power). This refers to God completely nourishing, satisfying, and supplying His people with all their needs as a mother would her child. Connected with the word for God, El, this denotes a God who freely gives nourishment and blessing, He is our sustainer.
Further references of the name El Shaddai in the Old Testament: Genesis 17:1; Genesis 28:3; Genesis 35:11; Genesis 43:14; Genesis 48:3
We have a show coming up next month and I for one am SO EXCITED! This will be our first, physical show. The three prints below are a few of the new prints we will be offering that weekend. These are not online at this time, and will only be available at the physical show.
Just a friendly reminder, our little Etsys shop will be on vacation mode beginning Friday, September 28, for a couple weeks. Part vacation. Part workcation. We have some exciting things coming in 2019 and can’t wait to share it all with you! But first, we need a little time to work on the details. The shop should be back up and running with an updated inventory the week of October 15.
We say all that to say this: If you’ve thought about taking advantage of the SAVE50 50% off code, DO IT SOON! Time is running out. All good things must come to an end, or at least that’s what they say. Some good things are just beginning <—— and that’s what we say!
UPDATE: Since the original posting we have added links to our Etsy shop for the above 12x12 prints. We've also added the 12x12 print below, which was the conference theme, to the shop.
And check out this post Two More Showstoppers: Mercy & SoulScripts for two additional 12x12 prints featured at the show and now in our Etsy shop.
During the burning bush experience recorded in Exodus 3, Moses, who is looking for authority to speak to Pharaoh and the Israelites, asked God His name. God replies, “I Am who I Am.”
"Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” God said to Moses, 'I am who I am.' And He said, 'Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” Exodus 3:13-14
When God said this to Moses, he was literally saying,
There is nothing we need that God is not. Nothing we need that He does not provide. Nothing He does not deliver. Nothing He does not secure. Nothing He cannot heal. Nothing He cannot rescue and redeem.

"Jesus said to him, 'I AM the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" John 14:6
Moses comes to God looking for authority, and leaves with the authority for all generations. [vs 15] "This is my name forever, and thus I AM to be remembered throughout all generations."
"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I AM the Light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the Light of life.'" John 8:25
Did you notice that all 7 of these I AM declarations were from the Gospel of John? What can we learn from them?
What is the I AM to you today?
