How to Create a Christ-Centered Library for Your Children or Grandchildren​

There’s something deeply powerful about being a grandparent. You carry not only stories and memories, but influence. Lasting influence—the kind that shapes hearts, anchors identity, and points little lives toward eternal truth.

If we truly desire to instill a love for God in our grandchildren, we must be intentional. One of the most meaningful ways we can do that is by using the resources God has given us to build a solid, sound, Christ-centered library for them, because what fills their shelves will, in many ways, fill their hearts.

We live in a world full of noise—messages constantly competing for our children’s and grandchildren's attention. But books have a unique way of slowing things down. They invite children to sit, to listen, to imagine, and most importantly, to absorb truth. 

When we place biblically-based, Gospel-centered books into their hands, we are:

• Planting seeds of truth that the Holy Spirit can grow 
• Helping them understand who God is and who they are in Him
• Giving them language for faith, forgiveness, courage, and hope
• Creating moments where conversations about Jesus happen naturally

The Holy Bible reminds us to “Train up a child in the way he should go…” (Proverbs 22:6), and what better way to help train them than by surrounding them with truth?

Toys break. Trends fade. But truth endures. Every book you place in your child's or grandchild’s hands is an investment—not just in their education, but in their eternity. You are helping build a foundation they will stand on long after they’ve outgrown your lap and long after you are gone.

You’re giving them stories that:

So, begin small if you need to—but begin intentionally. Build a legacy of faith library. Fill it with truth. Read to them often. Talk about Jesus. Pray with them. Let your home—or their home—be a place where God’s Word is loved, lived, and passed down.

Because you’re not just building a library…

• You’re building faith.
• You’re building identity.
• You’re building eternity.

And what greater gift could we ever give than that?
