The book of Acts shows us that the Holy Spirit is not a passive bystander but the powerful presence of God actively working in the Church. He empowers, indwells, guides, convicts, unites, gifts, emboldens, and confirms. His work didn’t end in the first century—He is still moving today in every believer who surrenders to His leading.
Let us not try to do the work of God without the Spirit of God. May we, like the early Church, seek to walk in step with the Holy Spirit, fully dependent on Him in all we do.
If the Holy Spirit empowered, guided, and emboldened the early Church so visibly in Acts, what might change in our daily life if we truly depended on Him with that same surrender and expectation?
